Ido and Paul with Hurricane Group, came to clean and sanitize the duct work in my house. It was a way bigger job than we all anticipated and it hadn't been done in many years. They worked tirelessly, carefully and efficiently as they had to move several pieces of large heavy furniture to find a couple of well hidden Vents. They even vacuumed behind my China cabinet which hadn't seen the light of day in 30 years. It turned out my Vent Covers, being very old, needed replacing and couldn't be put back straight away as they either need to be bleached for 24hrs or totally replaced. We decided to replace them which caused a little bit of a problem as that hadn't been our initial instruction to them. However, Jonathan the Owner was kind enough to work with us through the problem. Ido and Paul made an extra trip to get us all straight - They went and picked me up some new ones and everything is now shiny, sanitized and clean. We also chose to add UV Lights to the system to help kill germs and bacteria for the future. They also cleaned out my dryer vent that was probably a fire Hazzard, I can't remember when that was last done.!!! And just as important to me as a good job was their attitude - very polite, considerate and willing to go above and beyond!! I can't speak for the other crews at Hurricane because i haven't met them but if they are all as good as Ido and Paul under the Mgt of Jonathan you'll be very happy with their service.

Where do I even start. From my initial call with Jonathan, to how quick they were able to come out and give me a quote. They were able to fit my timeline to get my job done with an extremely reasonable price. It was not just the price that I loved it was the workmanship, communication and detail that came with it. Extremely professional and top-notch highly recommended to anyone with HVAC needs. We felt like we were treated like family and not just another customer. 10 out of 10 hands down.

This is going to be a long review, but I will be fair and accurate to give anyone shopping for this service. I'm sure plenty of the 5 star reviews are warranted but they are a company that rewards employees for 5 star reviews.

I had 2 technicians come out in January for Duct Cleaning, sanitization, and dryer vent cleaning. The previous owners were smokers so this was extra important for us. They were very easy to communicate with (texting, which is amazing for me), and arrived promptly and worked quickly.

The lead technician took me to both units to look them over and get an idea of the state of our air system. Great. But then the sales pitch began, which wouldn't end until they left an hour or 2 later. There must be a commission for getting a UV light installed, because holy lord. I went into how we were first time homebuyers, money was tight, I was embarrassed, but still I get "it's like driving a car without brakes", which just isn't accurate (I'm an engineer who has done his research, but you can do your own here, they can definitely help people with allergies).

Aside from the very uncomfortable pushing to buy a UV light, his assistant worked the entire time, used their brush tool to clean all ducts quickly and effectively and did good work. However, if you do a quick google about what a good cleaning entails, you'll see that it's strongly recommended they use a truck-mounted vacuum. They did not (probably because they needed somewhere to store those dang UV lights with typos on them), and maybe that's why for days later I had to change the air filters on my 2x units more than once (at least twice, see photos, I wish I had proof for all of them. [Edit: these are white when you buy them]). See, they did a great job cleaning, they changed out the filters after service, but I have to assume their vacuum or technique was not sufficient to remove the material they agitated from the ductwork. Unfortunately I did not realize this until my pregnant wife and 2 year old moved in, so fingers crossed they didn't get their systems shocked with 30 years of nicotine and dust. I don't think this was anything malicious, but it also seems odd that this happened with a well reviewed service.

They also cleaned my dryer duct that day, and I have no complaints at all there. Pricing was reasonable, and they likely saved me a house fire from all the built up lint.

I paid what, according to a quick google, is on the upper end of what you should pay for duct cleaning, but still within reason. After discovering the issue, I emailed them and described (in less words) what I have here, and requested a discount in line with lower quality service (normally I'd request they simply fix it and I'd be happy, but at that point there wasn't much to do and I don't trust them any more). They tried to call and I explained that was hard for me and to please respond by email or text (hearing issues). That was the last contact we have had.

Overall, for the price I paid, I can't help but feel slimy, and upset for what I paid. If it had just been a bit of a pushy salesman or a bit more of a dirty filter (which it was way more than a bit, see photos), I would completely understand, I don't leave less than 5 stars often at all. Maybe it was just an off-job that resulted in the dirty filters, which does happen, but that in combination with the really uncomfortable pushing and price tag really put me off.

tl;dr - Not the worst duct service. They *technically* clean the duct surfaces, but you will need to check your filters for a few weeks after and maybe change often (not forever, just until normally soiled). Threaten a bad review if they keep pushing the UV light (unless you are interested) to stop that treatment. Dryer vent cleaning is excellent. I will not use this service again.

The technicians came on time and explained the cleaning process. They go above and beyond to get everything clean
I felt very comfortable with them and for sure I will call again.

I'm completely satisfied with Hurricane Air Duct Cleaning Services. Ido, Shane and Andrew were on time, professional and polite but friendly. Ido took his time to answer my many questions about cleaning, sanitizing the ducts, installing a UV light, and cleaning my dryer. It's wonderful to know I'm cleaning fresh, clean air. My home smells wonderful. I recommend Hurricane and I won't hesitate to use their services again.

I hired Hurricane Air Duct cleaning to clean the ducts of my new house. They are amazing people. Very honest and friendly. They did a fantastic job and I couldn't believe my eyes when they showed me the air filter after they cleaned the ducts. Gross! But relieved that they are now nice and clean!
